RHI’s dedicated, compassionate, and caring teams carry out our mission every day in Uganda and Kenya. Leaders include pastors, teachers, nurses, well engineers, business leaders, caregivers, managers, and many more. We would not be able to serve the poor without the hard work and dedication of our team. Our board member include the following:

 

Daniel Nichols, President

Daniel Nichols, President of RHI works directly with partners in Uganda and Kenya. Daniel has a Masters of Divinity from Fuller Seminary and works as an architect as a self-supporting volunteer. Daniel is passionate about advancing caring for the poor and disenfranchised having traveled and served people in Japan, Haiti, Mexico, Rwanda, Uganda, and Kenya. He plans and hosts leadership training conferences in East Africa for national leaders who have become the backbone of our organization. Daniel has served as Chairman of the Board and takes no salary from RHI and is a lead donor.

 

Lister Macharia, Chairwoman

Lister was born and raised in the rural villages of Kisii, Kenya and later immigrated to the United States. It wasn’t until she was an adult that Lister truly appreciated the positive effects of education on the health and economic welfare of both individuals and communities. She has  since developed a passion for education and a desire to see children, especially those from impoverished environments get a good education. Lister works as a forensic toxicologist in Santa Rosa, CA where she lives with her husband Edward (Mashaa), their two young-adult children, and two young adult nephews. Lister is a volunteer Director and donor of RHI who takes no salary or allowance from the organization.

 

Edward Munga, Director

Edward (Mashaa) is the Secretary of Restore Hope International. He works as a Utility Systems Supervisor for the City of Santa Rosa water department. He was born and lived in Nairobi, Kenya before immigrating to the United States. He lives with his wife Lister and their two young adult children in Santa Rosa, CA. Edward is a volunteer Director, Secretary, and donor of RHI who takes no salary or allowance from the organization.

 

Patrick and Betty Alobo, Field Directors, Uganda

Patrick serves as director for Restore Hope in Uganda and the Morning Star Orphanage School. Patrick has faithfully administered a number of programs since 2014 working tirelessly to develop teams of trained staff to advance the mission of RHI. Betty's passion is to care for widows and orphans who are often forgotten and in great need. Betty also oversees the economic development for poor women and widows in remote villages by providing training and micro loans.

 

Douglas nyangaresi, Kenya

Douglas serves as Field Director in Kenya providing oversight and support for our students. Douglas is a CPA and works as an auditor in Nairobi, Kenya where he lives with his wife and two young children. as well as travels to Kisii to visit our boarding schools and teachers.
