History

Restore Hope International was started by Daniel Nichols in early 2014 after discovering the extent of human suffering in the towns of Kisii Western Kenya and Lira Northern Uganda. In 2016 Restore Hope International, Inc. became a 501c-3 charity in the United States, registered in California in an effort to make a positive impact on communities forgotten or overlooked by big-aid organizations. In 2018, Lister Mocheira and Edward Munga joined the board. Since then, a tremendous hopeful movement positive and sustainable change is taking place. Hope is rising.

mission

Our mission is to help restore hope, health, and dignity to those affected by poverty in Uganda and Kenya.

We believe every woman, child, and man within the communities we serve already possess dignity, strength, and resilience. We also know that the regions in which we work have faced specific challenges including; civil wars, famine based on drought, generational poverty, lack of security for food and water, forced child soldiers, and human trafficking. These challenges create additional hardships that are undeserved and exceedingly difficult to rise above. It is our hope that through our work we can help communities, mothers with children, restore and strengthen the hope, health, and dignity they already possess. Please consider joining us in our work to lift up each individual as made in God's image, worthy of respect. Regular monthly given is the most effective way to help make lasting change among the orphans and widows devastated by loss after loss. Join the team of hope.

Joining God’s work to restore health, hope, and dignity to marginalized and vulnerable families affected by poverty through education, micro-financing, medical care, and an overall community approach.
